Hitachi Announces TravelStar 320GB Laptop Hard Disk At 7,200rpm
The 2.5-inch Travelstar 7K320 offers 320GB of storage, up from the previous 200GB. Hitachi also claims that the drive can boost application performance by up to 12 per cent, and to have reduced power consumption by 22 per cent.
The drive connects across a SATA 3Gb/s interface, or alternatively 1.5Gb/s for the models that feature on-board automatic data encryption technology (not really something you need in a gaming laptop).
The Travelstar 7k320 is expected to cost around $220 (roughly £110).
